The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) has recently launched an English language information platform to cater to foreign investors. Called the ESG Infohub Taiwan Market Dashboard, this platform provides users with comprehensive market analysis and highlights, as well as industry-specific and company-specific information. It also offers regulatory information about doing business in Taiwan.
The TWSE aims to encourage greater foreign investment in Taiwan through this platform. In the first half of 2023, foreign capital accounted for nearly 40% of the market. The technology, semiconductors, and electronic components sectors represent more than 50% of the market.
In terms of growth, Taiwan’s stock market saw a significant increase of nearly 20% by the end of June, making it the second-fastest growing stock market in Asia, just after Japan.
The TWSE shared that the revenue of listed companies in Taiwan reached NT$40.78 trillion (US$1.31 trillion) in 2022, highlighting the country’s strong market performance.
