HPCL Launches Pilot Study on Ethanol-Blended Diesel Fuel E27

Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) is leading the charge in India's ethanol blending program with a pilot study on vehicles using E27 fuel and ethanol-blended diesel. The study aims to evaluate performance, emissions and mileage accumulation on two-wheelers and passenger cars. HPCL also successfully launched E20 fuel earlier this year, contributing to a reduction of approximately 3000 MT of greenhouse gas emissions to date. By 2025, the use of E20 fuel is projected to contribute to a reduction of more than 200 lakh MT of emissions.
