The Election Commission of India will conduct by-elections on June 30 to fill three vacant seats in the Karnataka Legislative Council. The Congress party is expected to sweep the polls, which will see members of the Legislative Assembly elect three MLCs. AICC secretary NS Boseraju is one of the three candidates for the elections. BJP's previous MLCs resigned to contest the recent assembly elections, with only one of them winning. The election process will conclude by July 4.
