Railways to Soon Respond to Parliament Regarding Selective Use of CAG Report

The Indian government rebuffs the recent CAG report on the expenditure of safety by Indian Railways, stating it is being selectively used. Rs.1 lakh crore has been allocated to Rashtriya Rail Sanraksha Kosh fund for critical safety works, with over Rs.1 lakh crore spent on RRSK works alone. The ministry aims to provide an accurate picture of Indian Railways' safety-related expenditure to avoid misconceptions. Expenditure on track renewal has significantly increased. The railway ministry will reply to the CAG report soon.
