Sydney Real Estate Agent Faces Multiple Sexual Offence Charges
A senior sales executive at Ray White’s Macarthur branch in Sydney, Omar Lababidi, has been charged with a series of sexual offences. Lababidi, known for his success in the real estate industry, was hit with three rape charges, one count of committing a sexual act without consent, and 12 counts of sexual touching.
Lababidi, a 26-year-old married father, spent a night in police custody following his arrest, but was later granted conditional bail in Campbelltown Local Court. As part of his release conditions, he must pay a $10,000 surety and report to Campbelltown Police Station three days a week. Moreover, he is prohibited from participating in open home showings alone with female co-workers.
Lababidi, alongside his younger brother Mohamed, formed a dynamic duo within the real estate industry. They often appeared in promotional videos and were featured on the company’s social media pages. However, Ray White has since removed most of Lababidi’s content from its website and social media platforms.
According to a spokesperson for Ray White, Lababidi was immediately suspended from his position three months ago when the company first learned of the allegations. In June, Lababidi ranked fifth in the top 50 real estate agents in New South Wales based on home sales.
In a previous interview, Lababidi expressed his passion for his profession, stating that he enjoys speaking with people and finding fulfillment in the smiles of first home buyers. Nonetheless, his recent arrest has tarnished his reputation within the industry.
Lababidi’s case will be mentioned in Campbelltown Local Court on October 25.
