Switch Mobility, a company under the Hinduja Group, has announced the delivery of the first set of Switch Metrocity electric buses to Stagecoach, a leading bus and coach operator in the UK. The delivery is part of a 20-bus order for two variants of the electric bus model – the 8.7-meter version for Walthamstow and the longer, 9.5-meter version for Lea Interchange. Switch’s Metrocity is fitted with the latest NMC battery technology for better performance and increased range of up to 170 miles. The newly delivered buses are expected to help Stagecoach’s target of having a fully electric bus fleet across the UK by 2035.
