A recent ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll conducted in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh found that about 25 percent of respondents believe former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be more beneficial to the party in the upcoming Assembly polls. The survey was carried out between May 26 and June 26 with a sample size of 17,113, covering all 230 Assembly seats in the state. Rahul’s sister and party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra followed closely behind with 24.9 percent of respondents voting for her as the more beneficial option.

The poll also revealed that 13.1 percent of respondents feel that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will prove helpful to the party in Madhya Pradesh. However, the majority of respondents (36.7 percent) said they were unsure about who could be the most beneficial for the Congress party in the state.

The survey results also showed that among BJP supporters, 18 percent believe Rahul Gandhi will be more beneficial to the Congress, and 15.9 percent favor Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Among these supporters, 12.3 percent believe Kharge will be helpful, while 53.9 percent did not give an opinion. Among Congress supporters, 36.3 percent believe Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be more beneficial for the party in Madhya Pradesh, followed by Rahul Gandhi with 33 percent. Some 12.4 percent of Congress supporters believe Kharge will be more beneficial, while 18.2 percent did not give an opinion.

This survey comes ahead of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, which are scheduled to take place next year. It gives an idea of the public’s thoughts on Congress party leaders who could potentially be instrumental in the party’s success in the upcoming polls. Meanwhile, the BJP is gearing up for the elections and has been actively organizing rallies and public events in the state.

It remains to be seen how these survey results will play out in the upcoming polls, as voters may change their minds based on various factors in the coming months. Nonetheless, the survey provides valuable insights into the public’s perceptions and could help political parties strategize accordingly.
