Newly appointed working president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Supriya Sule, has denied claims that her cousin Ajit Pawar is unhappy with her recent elevation, calling the reports gossip. Speaking to ANI, Sule stated that nobody had actually asked Ajit Pawar whether he was happy or not. Reports had previously claimed that Ajit Pawar was not pleased with Sule’s appointment and that he had been reluctant to attend the NCP’s foundation day celebration, which saw Sharad Pawar appoint Sule and Praful Patel as working presidents of the party. Probed on the issue, Ajit Pawar also dismissed reports of discontent, saying he is happy with the party’s decision.
