Sumeet Vyas, the Indian actor, recently shared a hilarious story about his shooting experience with Amitabh Bachchan, during a special edition of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ dedicated to the world of OTT. The event featured Mukesh Chhabra, Tridha Chaudhary, Anchal Singh, Rajesh Tailang, Amit Sial, and Sumeet Vyas.
In an interesting chat, Kapil Sharma asked Rajesh Tailang about his first encounter with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. He revealed that he became a devoted admirer of Mr Bachchan when he was still a child. When he finally got the opportunity to work with Bachchan, he attended a workshop to perfect his acting skills, especially since he would be acting with his idol.
On the first day of shooting at the temple in Filmcity in 2005, Bachchan arrived at the set and started shooting directly, leaving Rajesh Tailang no chance to meet him in person. They both acted in a scene that involved a bomb blast, with Bachchan playing the role of a joint commissioner, and Tailang playing the part of an ACP who arrived in a car right after him. When Tailang got out of the car, he saw Bachchan amidst the shot and greeted him with a Namaste while shooting.
Sumeet Vyas also had a funny experience while filming in Bhopal for a movie with Amitabh Bachchan. There was a massive crowd of 30-40,000 people there for Bachchan, making it feel like a cricket match was going on. On one particular day, when there was a massive crowd, Vyas was wearing clothes that were similar to the crowd. So, amidst the chaos, they pushed him along with the crowd. Then, Prakash Ji, who was directing the film, along with Amitabh Ji arrived and asked where the actor was performing. Vyas shouted from within the crowd, ‘Hey, I’m here!’ They then asked him to come over.
Overall, the show was entertaining and the stars participating were able to share great stories from their experiences on set with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Fans remain excited to see these stars work on exciting new movies in the future.
