The Startup Innovation and Incubation Centre (SIIC) at IIT-Kanpur, along with the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship Centre of Excellence (AIIDE-CoE), supported by the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), and Uttar Pradesh government’s StartinUP, organized a demo day event and investor connect for startups. The event showcased the top 10 startups from AIIDE CoE’s second cohort. It was attended by various investment firms, demonstrating a commitment to building a thriving AI ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.
During the event, CEO of SIIC & AIIDE-CoE, IIT Kanpur, Nikhil Agarwal delivered an inspiring speech that highlighted the vast potential and impact of AI in driving entrepreneurship and economic growth. Twelve investors, including SIDBI, Soonicorn Ventures, Pedal Start, Valpro, HPCL, Cognify, ICICI Bank, YesBank, HDFC Bank, Rukam Capital, IDFC First Bank, and Startup Movers Pvt Ltd, participated in the event, providing a crucial platform for startups and investors to connect.
Ten startups from AIIDE CoE were selected, including Predict RAM, Nadi Pulse Prognostics Pvt Ltd, Arishti Info Labs, Ripple Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Filit Bharat, Listerr, Maya MD, Stillsweb, Manodayam, and Asatrobo. These startups showcased their innovative products and solutions, highlighting their groundbreaking ideas. The startups have been nurtured and mentored by AIIDE CoE, which provides mentorship, networking opportunities, training, research and development facilities, infrastructure, and funding opportunities.
Professor-in-Charge of SIIC, IIT Kanpur, Ankush Sharma, commended AIIDE CoE for establishing Uttar Pradesh as a thriving hub for AI and ML-driven startups. The Demo Day event showcased the invaluable support of the Uttar Pradesh Government and highlighted the creation of a collaborative ecosystem, fueling innovation, mentorship, and infrastructure for startup success. AIIDE-CoE aims to foster a collaborative ecosystem by bringing together experts, professors, researchers, academicians, and students, facilitating innovative ideation and breakthrough discoveries. The centre also aims to forge partnerships with national and international institutions working in the field of AI.
