10 Bn SSB recently held a Millet Mahotsav event at its Battalion Headquarters in Batmaloo, Srinagar. The festival aims to promote the consumption and awareness of millets, and educate the personnel about their benefits. Commandant Rohitashwa inaugurated the event, which featured six stalls showcasing millet-based meals such as Bajra Roti, Makka Roti, and Bajra Khichdi. The festival also included games to entertain participants. Millets are a kharif crop that require less water and agricultural input compared to other staple grains. The event successfully conveyed the importance of millets in maintaining a healthy diet while contributing to environmental sustainability.
