Solo Sikoa Reflects on Defeat to The Usos at 2023 WWE Money in the Bank
Solo Sikoa, part of the prestigious wrestling family known as The Bloodline, has broken his silence following his defeat at the hands of The Usos in the tag team match at the 2023 WWE Money in the Bank event. In what was described as a Bloodline Civil War, Sikoa and his cousin Roman Reigns faced off against The Usos, who happen to be Sikoa’s real-life brothers.
The match ended with Jey Uso pinning Reigns, leading to a historic victory for The Usos. This win also marked the first time in 1,294 days that Reigns, the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion, had been pinned. Despite the loss, Sikoa expressed his gratitude and pride in a heartfelt post on Facebook.
Taking to social media, Sikoa shared his thoughts on the memorable encounter. He said, Finally had some time to digest everything that happened last Saturday in London at #MITB. This will be a moment I will ALWAYS cherish and remember forever. To be in the ring with 3 of the very best in this business and better thing is we did it against each other as family.
Sikoa went on to acknowledge the influence and guidance he has received from his fellow wrestlers. He said, I learned from all 3 of them since I started on the main [roster] and have taken every advice they have given me to be in this position. I have traveled the world with them and have main evented EVERY PPV with them, and last Saturday we made history this night and main evented against each other. So many emotions before and after. But I’m very thankful and happy I got to do it with family.
Considering the match as his personal WrestleMania moment, Sikoa concluded his post by expressing his gratitude and stating that the experience would be eternally etched in his memory.
Following their defeat at Money in the Bank, tensions escalated between The Bloodline and The Usos during a Tribal Court segment on the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The confrontation led to a physical brawl, resulting in Jimmy Uso sustaining injuries that required hospitalization.
In a surprise turn of events, Jey Uso sought revenge for his brother by attacking both Reigns and Sikoa with a steel chair. Additionally, Jey issued a challenge to Reigns for a match, heightening the anticipation for a potential showdown between the two wrestlers at WWE SummerSlam.
While Jey Uso seems intent on settling the score with his cousin, there is relief for Reigns as Sikoa has chosen to remain loyal to him.
As fans speculate about the potential clash between Reigns and Jey Uso, the WWE Universe eagerly awaits the upcoming events and the resolution of this family feud.
The wrestling community will be closely watching as the story unfolds, further showcasing the talents and drama that make WWE events so enthralling.
