An accused soldier in the Bathinda military station killings will undergo a polygraph test soon to help investigators connect missing links in the crime. The Bathinda superintendent of police (investigation), Ajay Gandhi, will oversee the test at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in New Delhi. Mohan, the accused soldier in judicial custody, has given consent to the test. Police are yet to establish the reason for the killings which took place on April 12, when four soldiers were shot as they slept in their rooms near the officers’ mess. The accused, who was arrested five days later, claimed he took revenge for humiliation and abuse.
