Solar Power Generation in Malwa and Nimar Soars with 8,550 New Panel Installations

Solar power generation using panels has seen a significant rise in the western part of Madhya Pradesh, according to an official from a power distribution company. The number of places using solar panels to generate electricity has increased from 4,900 in May-June last year to 8,550 this year, marking a 75% increase. Solar panels of a total capacity of 110 MW have been installed at government offices, hospitals, residences and other sites, producing at least INR50m ($676,000) each month during summer. The state government is offering subsidies to help more consumers install the equipment.
