Pete Davidson, former cast member of Saturday Night Live, has announced that he will be bringing his Pete Davidson Live tour to Michigan this October. The comedian will be stopping in Kalamazoo and Detroit for two highly anticipated shows.
On Thursday, October 19, Davidson will perform at The Fillmore Detroit, followed by a show at the Kalamazoo State Theatre on Saturday, October 21. Both shows will start at 7 p.m. and are promised to be unforgettable experiences, according to a press release from the Kalamazoo State Theatre.
Having risen through the ranks of SNL during his tenure from 2014 to 2022, Davidson’s quick wit and uncensored storytelling propelled him to success. In 2016, he even landed a one-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central, showcasing his comedic talent. That same year, he was recognized on Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30 list.
Davidson’s presence extends beyond the stage as well. He has become a prominent figure in pop culture, having been linked romantically to stars such as Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian. In 2022, Davidson was honored as one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people of the year.
While making a name for himself in the entertainment industry, Davidson has also made appearances on the big screen. He has been featured in films like Trainwreck, Meet Cute, and Bodies Bodies Bodies. Furthermore, he co-wrote, executive produced, and starred in King of Staten Island.
Tickets for Davidson’s Kalamazoo show range from $68 to $128, with an online presale starting on August 29 at 10 a.m. using the code CHAD. The public sale will begin the next day, August 30, at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase fee-free tickets at the box office on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a limit of six tickets per purchase.
It’s important to note that the Pete Davidson Live show is a phone-free experience. This means that phones, smartwatches, and other accessories will not be allowed inside the performance space, creating an opportunity for audience members to fully immerse themselves in the live experience.
In other entertainment news, actor Billy Dee Williams, best known for his portrayal of Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars franchise, will also be visiting Michigan this fall. Sounds of the Zoo has also unveiled the lineup for its second year of the week-long music festival.
It’s safe to say that Michigan residents are in for an exciting and entertaining autumn, with notable personalities like Pete Davidson and Billy Dee Williams gracing the state with their presence. Fans of comedy and music alike are eagerly anticipating these upcoming events.
