A new healthy drink option is on the way to Genesee County. Smoothie King, the international, health-focused smoothie company with over 1,000 locations, is set to open Feb. 6 in Grand Blanc. Located at 12720 S. Saginaw St., Smoothie King aims to provide healthy smoothies made with non-GMO fruits and vegetables. The opening of the Grand Blanc location is significant, as it will be the second Smoothie King in Genesee County, with the other one located in Flint Township.
Smoothie King’s marketing director, Virginia Kamenitzer, expressed the company’s commitment to offering a variety of options to cater to every individual’s dietary needs. We offer an opportunity to get a fast turnaround meal in a blended beverage. It could be in a cup or smoothie bowl, we offer clean ingredients, clean brand blends and solutions for all dietary needs and walks of life, she said.
The decision to open a location in Grand Blanc was strategic, based on the fact that many visitors to the Flint Township store come from Grand Blanc. Smoothie King aims to make their nutritious options easily accessible to customers in the area.
Smoothie King offers a diverse menu, including smoothie bowls with eight different blends, a range of coffee drinks, and traditional smoothies. Whether customers are looking for a source of caffeine, protein, a pre or post-workout meal, or simply a meal substitution, Smoothie King aims to satisfy their needs.
The grand opening of the Grand Blanc Smoothie King is scheduled for noon on Feb. 6, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will see local chambers in attendance. To celebrate the occasion, a grand opening party will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 10. The first 50 customers will have the chance to win free smoothies for a year, along with promotional gifts.
Smoothie King operates from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Customers can conveniently order their smoothies through Smoothie King’s rewards app, allowing for a quick grab-and-go experience.
