Škoda Auto India has recently announced an additional allocation of the luxury 4×4 SUV, Kodiaq, to enable quicker delivery timelines to customers in India. In 2022, the company launched the new Kodiaq, but all cars allocated for the year were sold within a couple of weeks. Appreciating the growing demand for this luxurious car, the company has enhanced supplies for 2023 in India.
Powered by the 2.0 TSI EVO engine, the Kodiaq is 4.2% more efficient than before and makes 140 kW (190 PS) and 320 Nm allowing acceleration to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds. The car has received an addition to the Škoda brands array of Simply Clever features – door-edge protectors that automatically reveal themselves when the doors open, protecting the door edge from dents and scratches. The luxury 4×4 also has additional finlets for the rear spoiler to improve aerodynamics.
The Kodiaq remains a pioneer in technology that enhances driver engagement and feel with Progressive Steering that flexes its forces depending on driving conditions and vehicle speed, making the Kodiaq easy to manoeuvre at slow speeds and offering the driver better control at higher speeds. The first-in-segment Dynamic Chassis Control further adds to the Kodiaq’s quiver of dynamics.
Apart from allowing drivers to select between six different modes such as Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sports, Snow and Individual driving modes, DCC also enables the suspension to be raised or lowered by 15 mm and hosts an off-road button for enhanced all-terrain abilities when needed.
The Kodiaq, along with the Slavia and the Kushaq, completes Škoda Auto India’s fleet of crash-tested cars, rated 5-stars for both adult and child safety. With the increased allocation of the Kodiaq for the Indian market, the company aims to provide its customers with a luxurious SUV that caters to their every need. Škoda Auto India has become a significant market for the company, ranking third in the world and the largest outside Europe after Germany and the Czech Republic.
