Six tourists were rescued in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, after a rope car got stuck midway due to a storm just outside the Mata Tekri temple. The Deputy Superintendent of Police in Dewas, Vivek Singh Chauhan, confirmed that the cable holding the ropeway came off due to the strong winds. The rescue attempt took approximately an hour because of the rain, which made it difficult for the rope workers. Fortunately, all six tourists were rescued successfully. The initial reports suggest that no one was injured during the incident, and it was a close call. Tragedies like these are a stark reminder of the importance of being prepared for all types of emergencies, especially when dealing with intricate systems such as the ropeway. In the future, it is imperative that such systems undergo regular checks and maintenance to ensure tragic accidents like this never occur again.
