Six players from Hull KR are set to make their debut in a clash against Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium. The team’s head coach, Willie Peters, has revealed his 17-man squad for the game. Louix Gorman, César Rougé, Lennis Ellis, Leo Tennison, Issac Shaw, and Luke Thomas will all be making their first appearance for the Rovers tonight.
The Hull KR team lineup includes Jack Walker as the fullback, with Louis Senior, Gorman, Corey Hall, and Connor Barley in the three-quarter line. Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e and Rowan Milnes will play in the halves, while loanee Rougé completes the spine. Matty Storton and Yusuf Aydin are the starting props, with Luis Johnson, Jimmy Keinhorst, and captain Dean Hadley making up the starting XIII.
On the bench, Ellis, Tennison, Shaw, and Thomas will be available for the Rovers. None of these players have previously featured in the club’s first team. Ellis and Tennison recently joined the team from Wakefield Trinity, while Shaw joined from Warrington Wolves earlier this week.
In their previous game against Castleford Tigers, several players have been dropped from the 17-man lineup, including Ethan Ryan, Tom Opacic, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Matt Parcell, George King, Kane Linnett, Elliot Minchella, Jez Litten, Rhys Kennedy, James Batchelor, Mikey Lewis, Sam Luckley, and Brad Schneider. Peters is not risking any of his key players ahead of next week’s Challenge Cup final.
The Hull KR squad is ready to face off against Wigan Warriors in what promises to be an exciting clash at the DW Stadium. The team will be looking to impress with their newly debuted players and secure a victory against a tough opponent.
