The Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) Incubation Forum (SIF) partnered with SGSITS alumni to host a special session on the importance of and procedures for establishing startups. The programme featured talks from various speakers including Satyajit Mazumdar, CEO of Zeta Innovation Lab, Tanmay Mukherjee, and chartered accountant Harshaditya Kabra. The event, held at the SGSITS campus, also included a networking session for entrepreneurs.
Mazumdar emphasized the significance startups have in providing solutions to different sectors and highlighted the necessary relationship between products and the market. He also stressed the importance of market research before embarking on any startup venture.
Kabra explained to the attendees about technical and economic aspects, government processes and due diligence, and intellectual property rights. He shared different government support schemes such as low-interest loan rates, electricity subsidies, and financial assistance. Kabra also discussed the different forms of organization such as the limited liability firm and private limited company, as well as the importance of forming the right organization.
The event, which was attended by SGSITS director Rakesh Saxena, CEO of CIDI Apoorva Gaiwak, and Priyan Shah, among others, was aimed at empowering entrepreneurs with the right skills and support necessary to make their startup ventures succeed.
