Shoni Health Ventures, a healthtech fund affiliated with ARC Innovation at Sheba Medical Center, has announced its plans to invest in digital health startups and medical devices. The fund will focus on early-stage startups and provide them with support in various aspects of their growth. Notably, Shoni Health Ventures has already invested in five healthtech startups, namely Quant Health, AISAP, CoPilotMD, FeelBetter, and Append Medical.

ARC Innovation at Sheba Medical Center is one of the world’s top hospitals, and the strong partnership between ARC Innovation and Shoni Health Ventures will enable portfolio companies to gain extraordinary access to global partnerships, over 25 years of medical data, and medical personnel. Eran Lerer, the CEO and Managing Partner of Shoni Health Ventures, will lead the fund, leveraging his experience in venture capital investments, business development, marketing, and sales in the digital health, medical devices, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Shoni Health Ventures was co-founded by Dr. Ran Goshen and Sarah Greenberg. Dr. Goshen is an expert in gyneco-oncology and an entrepreneur in cancer-related innovations. He is also the founder and hands-on chairman and chief physician of N1X10, which aims to create the first global network for cancer patients and specialists. Dr. Goshen previously oversaw life science investments at the VC firm Israel Seed Partners and holds a doctorate in cell biology from the Hebrew University through the Silberman Institute for Life Sciences.

Sarah Greenberg, on the other hand, is a dynamic business and social entrepreneur with experience in venture capital investments, corporate strategy, and impact investments. She made Aliyah to Israel in 2015 and volunteered for service in the IDF. Greenberg chaired the investment arm of the Seed the Dream Foundation, which focuses on fostering social leadership and equal opportunities through education and empowering women.

Commenting on the initiative, Eran Lerer, CEO and Managing Partner of Shoni Health Ventures, said, Many healthtech startups around the world are struggling to attract early-stage investors. Consequently, many potential innovative solutions that could significantly improve global health remain unrealized. We aim to bridge this gap, supporting healthtech startups in bringing their innovative solutions to market and making a global impact.

Lerer also highlighted the growth of the digital health sector and the importance of digital transformation in the long run. With advancements in artificial intelligence, bio-convergence, and other technologies, the impact of digital and smart solutions on the future of health is just beginning to be realized. ARC Innovation is excited to partner with Shoni Health Ventures to further contribute to the advancement of the digital health sector.

Overall, the partnership between Shoni Health Ventures and ARC Innovation at Sheba Medical Center brings together expertise from the medical and business fields to support healthtech startups in their journey to create innovative solutions that can shape the future of healthcare. Through their investments and resources, they aim to make a significant impact on global health and encourage the growth of the digital health sector.
