Pietersen called the pitch flat and docile and did not agree with England skipper Ben Stokes’ declaration. Stokes declared England’s first innings at 393 for 8, allowing Australia to face four overs before the day’s end. The former English player said that he disagreed with the decision, arguing that the wicket was too flat.
