Bangladesh cricketer, Litton Das, has said that their recent win against Afghanistan shows that they are capable of playing well without veterans like Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal. On June 17, Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 546 runs during the only Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. While Shakib was absent due to a finger injury, Tamim missed the match due to a back injury. Litton, who led Bangladesh for the first time in Tests, expressed satisfaction with how the team’s youngsters have stepped up to deliver for the national team. Last year, they defeated New Zealand without Shakib and Tamim in their playing XI. He estimated that Bangladesh cricket would be in big trouble if they failed to perform well without these experienced players. According to Litton, it is crucial to learn to perform at the highest level without them, and he believes that the new guys are capable of delivering if they work hard enough.
