Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has voiced his concerns over Pakistan’s indecisiveness regarding their participation in the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup in India. Despite reports that India and Pakistan would come face-to-face in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed reluctance. However, Afridi has urged his country’s cricket board to change its stance and accept the challenge. According to him, the only way to overcome obstacles is through a comprehensive victory, which is Pakistan’s ultimate goal. PCB Chairman Najam Sethi has stated that Pakistan’s participation is subject to the government’s decision. The two nations have not played in a bilateral cricket series since 2012, with their only encounters taking place in ACC and ICC events.
