Superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently completed 31 years in Bollywood and has given many hits throughout his career. During the #AskSRK session on Twitter, a user asked him about his choices when picking a movie. Shah Rukh wittily replied that he goes by the director’s choice and tries to do the kind of film that the particular director wants to do rather than only focusing on what he sees himself as.
After a four-year hiatus, Shah Rukh made his comeback with Siddharth Anand’s action thriller film ‘Pathaan,’ which released in January this year and starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film became the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
Shah Rukh will be next seen in the upcoming action thriller film ‘Jawan,’ set to hit theatres on September 7. The film, produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, is directed by Atlee and stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.
The actor also has director Rajkumar Hirani’s next ‘Dunki’ opposite actor Taapsee Pannu in the pipeline.
Shah Rukh’s fans are eagerly awaiting his next projects, and it seems like he is more focused on the directors’ vision rather than only on his own. This approach may lead to interesting and unconventional roles for the megastar.
As Shah Rukh said, he wants to try and do the kind of films the particular director wants to do. It will be exciting to see him in different genres and roles, which may not be what we’re used to seeing him perform. So, Shah Rukh’s statement has built anticipation among his fans, and they can’t wait to see him shine on the silver screen once again.
