Severe storms tore through Wisconsin on May 21, 2024, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. The National Weather Service confirmed at least 13 tornadoes, with most rated EF-1 and reaching winds of up to 105 mph. The affected areas stretched from Buffalo City to Unity to Kaukauna. The service also indicated the likelihood of two more tornadoes being confirmed, bringing the total to 15 for the month and 17 for the year in Wisconsin. The average annual tornado count in the state is 23. Residents are urged to stay informed and prepared as the cleanup efforts continue.
