Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The weather in Madhya Pradesh is expected to undergo significant changes in the coming days, with a seven-day forecast indicating the likelihood of light drizzle in various parts of the state, followed by a severe cold spell. The activation of the Western Disturbance is responsible for these weather fluctuations.

On Saturday morning, fog enveloped most cities in Madhya Pradesh, leading to poor visibility. In Datia and Satna, visibility dropped to less than 50 meters, while in Khajuraho, Damoh, and Tikamgarh, it ranged from 50 to 200 meters. Raisen experienced dense fog for the second time this season. Gwalior and Datia recorded the lowest temperatures in the state on Friday night.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted the possibility of light rain and hailstorms in divisions like Gwalior, Chambal, Ujjain, Bhopal, Sagar, and Rewa. Additionally, drizzle is expected in Indore, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, and Shahdol. Following the rainfall, a severe cold spell will prevail. Cool temperatures were already observed in several districts of the state on Friday, with Gwalior and Khajuraho being the coldest. Daytime temperatures ranged from 17.4 to 18.2 degrees Celsius.

As the weather conditions evolve, Bhopal recorded a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius on Friday night, while Indore registered 15.3 degrees Celsius. Gwalior experienced a chilly night at 7 degrees Celsius, whereas Jabalpur and Ujjain recorded temperatures of 11.2 and 12.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The imminent weather changes necessitate preparation for the anticipated light drizzle, frequent hailstorms, and the subsequent arrival of a severe cold spell in Madhya Pradesh. Residents in the affected divisions should remain cautious and take appropriate measures to stay safe.

While these weather updates primarily cater to the local population of Madhya Pradesh, the information may also serve as a reference for tourists and those interested in the state’s weather patterns.

As Western Disturbances continue to impact the region, it is crucial to pay attention to the latest updates from the Meteorological Department and stay informed about any further developments.
