A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has made a major breakthrough in the Thane run-over case, as the main accused Ashwajit Gaikwad, along with his two associates Romil Patil and Sagar Shedge, have been arrested. The victim, Priya Singh, who has accused her boyfriend, the son of a senior bureaucrat, of intentionally trying to run her over, took to social media to seek justice. Expressing her faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister, Priya stressed her desire for justice to prevail in this troubling situation. The incident, which took place near a hotel in Thane early Monday morning, led to the registration of a case against Ashwajit Gaikwad, the senior bureaucrat’s son.
According to Priya, she was in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend and was unaware of his marital status. When she discovered that he had a wife, she confronted him, triggering a heated argument. Priya further revealed that she suffered multiple injuries as a result of the alleged attack, including three broken bones in her right leg and deep wounds from her left shoulder to her hips.
Initially, Priya’s attempt to file an FIR was reportedly met with inaction, leaving her desperate for support. However, after posting her story on social media, she received the necessary assistance from the police, who have since formed a special investigation team (SIT) to thoroughly probe the incident.
DCP Zone 5, Amarsingh Jadhav, revealed that an offense has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, and the local police officers have conducted a preliminary investigation. The SIT is currently in the process of recording statements from witnesses to uncover the truth surrounding this distressing incident.
