A security guard is lucky to be alive after being shot five times during a gunfight at a marijuana dispensary in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred at the Purple Dragon Cannabis Dispensary in the early hours of January 7, when three men, two of them armed, attempted to rob the establishment. Jonah Duran, who had been working at the dispensary for only a few months, opened fire on the armed men, injuring one of them critically. However, one of the assailants returned fire, and Duran was struck multiple times before the men fled the scene. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Duran’s mother expressed her gratitude that her son survived the ordeal, while also praying for the wounded gunman’s recovery. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help cover Duran’s medical expenses, and so far has raised over $10,000. Duran, a father of three, is relieved to still be alive and grateful to be able to be with his children.
