The Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Sanjay Kumar, and CBSE Chairperson, Nidhi Chhibber, recently interacted with principals of CBSE-affiliated schools to discuss the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Hundreds of physical and virtual attendees, including principals from across India and abroad, participated in the event. Chhibber highlighted the importance of incorporating the objectives outlined in the NEP 2020 and creating a wholesome learning environment. Meanwhile, Kumar emphasized the challenges of attaining basic minimum proficiency and enabling students to make informed choices based on interest and aptitude. Both officials discussed important initiatives, such as the Progress on the Implementation of School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF). The event aims to ensure better educational opportunities for children from all backgrounds, aligning with the objectives of the NEP 2020.
