UPDATE: Investigators search Kentucky landfill for evidence as AMBER Alert continues for Sumner County teen
The search for a Tennessee teen at the center of an AMBER Alert continues on Thursday in Kentucky, according to a report from the NBC affiliate in Nashville.
The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and Kentucky State Police are searching a landfill in Hopkins County where trash was taken from the neighborhood of 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers.
Rogers has been missing since February 26, and was originally the center of an Endangered Child Alert, which was upgraded to an AMBER Alert a day later.
There is no specific information that indicates evidence related to the search for Sebastian may be there; rather it is an investigative, precautionary measure to eliminate possible options and questions, the SCSO told WSMV.
The missing teen has autism and investigators feared his health would be compromised without his medicine.
