Talented students from across Bangladesh will have the opportunity to attend International School Dhaka (ISD) at reduced fees, thanks to a new scholarship programme. This initiative, launched in celebration of ISD’s 25th anniversary, aims to offer diverse groups of students the chance to receive a world-class education.
ISD, the first International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Bangladesh, is currently accepting applications for terms starting in January and August 2024. The scholarship programme is open for students in grades 9, 10, and 11.
We provide exceptional opportunities for talented and deserving students to join us in our development and become integral parts of our future. As an international school, diversity is of great significance to us, which is why we are offering more opportunities for families across the country to benefit from a world-class learning experience, said Steve Calland-Scoble, Director at ISD.
Each scholarship will be awarded for one year, with the possibility of extensions depending on the recipients’ performance and adherence to other requirements. Scholarship winners can receive up to a 90 percent waiver on school fees, in addition to a full waiver on their admission fee. These students will join an international community and benefit from the IB curriculum.
To secure a scholarship, applicants must demonstrate leadership capabilities and a strong commitment to service learning and co-curricular activities.
ISD graduates have a reputation for attending some of the top universities worldwide. The school has recently established partnerships with renowned institutions, including the Barça Football Camp and Rohit Sharma’s CricKingdom cricket academy. Furthermore, ISD has joined forces with Carnegie Mellon University, a global leader in robotics education.
Interested students can find detailed scholarship information and the application form on ISD’s official website.
In conclusion, ISD’s introduction of a scholarship programme for high school students in Bangladesh not only marks the school’s 25th anniversary but also opens doors to a world-class education for talented individuals across the nation. With exceptional opportunities and a commitment to diversity, ISD aims to empower students to become future leaders and make a positive impact on society.
