Scentsy’s Annual Rock-A-Thon Raises $250K for Idaho Youth Ranch’s Residential Center
Scentsy, a renowned fragrance company, recently held its 10th Annual Rock-A-Thon event, which raised an impressive $250,000 for the Idaho Youth Ranch’s Residential Center. The Idaho Youth Ranch, known for its thrift shops in the Treasure Valley, offers a wide range of services to struggling children and their families, including emergency shelter, residential care, therapy, job readiness training, and adoption services.
In the previous year, the Idaho Youth Ranch helped 954 children and teenagers find healing and growth amidst challenging circumstances. They provided over 1,000 shelter days to homeless and runaway youth, offering them a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, they conducted over 3,000 counseling sessions to assist children and families facing loss, trauma, and other adversities.
The beneficiaries of the Idaho Youth Ranch’s services have faced daunting challenges such as domestic violence, trauma, exposure to violent crime, sexual assault, severe illness, and accidents. The organization has successfully addressed a wide range of diagnoses including major depression, anxiety disorders, suicidal thoughts, drug and alcohol abuse, behavioral disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The Idaho Youth Ranch recently opened its Residential Center for Healing & Resilience, providing a home-like environment for children aged 11 to 17. The center offers education and therapy through its year-round charter school and provides dorm-style lodging with 64 beds. This facility allows children to connect with others who have experienced similar hardships, all while staying close to their families. Previously, Idaho children requiring such treatment often had to be sent out of state, making this new center a vital resource within the community.
The funds raised during Scentsy’s Rock-A-Thon will be dedicated to supporting the Residential Center for Healing & Resilience. Scentsy will donate $250 per chair, per hour, for 12 hours, as long as the chairs remain in motion. If all the chairs continue rocking throughout the event, the Idaho Youth Ranch will receive an astounding $210,000 donation from Scentsy.
Beyond the Rock-A-Thon, Scentsy has issued an additional challenge to the community to raise an extra $40,000 for the fundraiser. Contributions can be made by texting Rock to 208-252-6351. Donations can also be given online or in person during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees are invited to enjoy a variety of food trucks on Scentsy’s campus, as the vendors have generously pledged to donate a portion of their sales to the cause.
