Scapia, a FinTech company in India, has launched a new credit card for travel enthusiasts in collaboration with Federal Bank. The card operates on the Visa network and can be used in over one million merchants across 150 countries. It offers 10% rewards on all transactions, which is converted into Scapia coins, giving customers the chance to redeem flights and hotel stays from anywhere in the world using the Scapia app. Scapia is pushing for a new way to offer rewards to young Indian travellers. The brand’s onboarding process is fully digital, free of charge, and has unlimited domestic lounge access, making the users feel like they’re in an exclusive club. The genesis of the Scapia Card came from Anil Goteti, a former Senior Vice President at Flipkart, who is passionate about travel.
Partnering with Scapia is a promising step towards appealing to Indian millennials who are eager to travel, according to Shalini Warrier, Executive Director of Federal Bank. Scapia believes that humanity gets richer when people travel, and it offers financial products and travel services for millennials and Gen-Z.
