Saudi Arabia‘s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has given an order to host 1,000 Palestinian families of martyrs, prisoners, and those injured for the Hajj pilgrimage this year. The announcement was made on Saturday through the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Dr Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh appreciated the King and Crown Prince for their constant support towards the Palestinian martyrs’ families. The initiative for the Palestinian Hajj pilgrims reinforces the profound relationship between Saudi Arabia and Palestine and also acknowledges the immense sacrifices made by the Palestinian people. It is expected that modern technologies and artificial intelligence will be used in line with Saudi Arabia‘s Vision 2030 goals to facilitate the hosting and provide optimal service and comfort to the pilgrims. Mahmoud Al Zanati, who had awaited patiently for 17 years to perform the sacred Hajj, was among the selected pilgrims from both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
