Saudi authorities are working tirelessly to make the Hajj pilgrimage a comfortable and memorable experience for the thousands of Pakistani pilgrims who will be visiting Makkah in the near future. More than 179,000 Pakistani Hujjaj are expected to participate in Hajj 2023, and the authorities are doing everything possible to make their stay comfortable.

Recently, the authorities opened the Bab-e-Abdullah and Jabal-e-Kaaba tunnels specifically to enhance access to the Grand Mosque for more than 10,567 Pakistani prospective pilgrims residing in Sector One in Makkah Mukarramah. This move was taken on a special request from the Pakistani government to ensure a smoother and more fulfilling journey for Pakistani prospective Hajj pilgrims.

The Pakistani Hajj mission has arranged for buses and guides to pick up and drop off pilgrims. To offer the best services to female pilgrims, Saudi officials have appointed female staff who not only welcomed Pakistani women Hujjaj at their arrival but also ensured their comfort during transportation of their luggage and availing other facilities at their residence.

Dr Alyaa Malibari is a female staff member who has achieved a doctorate from the United States. She appreciated the Kingdom’s authorities for helping her acquire the role of leadership as workforce for her country. She expressed her commitment to incorporate leadership skills in women youth of her country with the aim to play a significant role in the development of her country. She also stated that women’s empowerment is central to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 reform program that has far-reaching social and economic objectives with increased economic participation by women.

Ola, another ground working staff member said that women’s role is indispensable in every society, specifically in essential care work. She emphasized the significance of women contributing to serving female Hujjaj. She also expressed gratitude to the Kingdom’s initiative of empowering women under the vision 2030.

Overall, Saudi authorities are taking proactive steps to ensure that the Hajj pilgrimage is a memorable and comfortable experience for all Pakistani Hujjaj. They are implementing measures that cater to the needs of both male and female pilgrims, with a commitment to promoting women’s empowerment and fulfilling the goals of Vision 2030.
