The International Day of Yoga was introduced to the United Nations General Assembly by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014. In recognition of the day, a yoga program was held in Srinagar, where SSB personnel participated with great enthusiasm. Talking to a reporter, Sashastra Seema Bal DIG, H. B. K. Singh, stated the importance of yoga, particularly for military personnel who often face stressful situations. He added that yoga can help relieve stress and improve overall health.
