Sahyadri Hospitals, a well-known hospital chain in Maharashtra, announced plans to invest more than INR 750 crore over the next three to four years to expand its healthcare delivery infrastructure. The hospital provider aims to add between 900-1,100 beds over the period through both greenfield and brownfield projects, strengthening its total presence in the state. Currently, it operates nine hospitals, encompassing 900 beds. Sahyadri Hospitals Director and CEO Abrarali Dalal assured that the hospital chain’s focus would be on increasing the bed capacity and providing access to specialized medical care. The company plans to expand further to cities in the region, including Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pimpri Chinchwad, Nagpur, Solapur Kolhapur, apart from reinforcing its presence in Pune and Nashik.
As part of its expansion plans, Sahyadri Hospitals has already doubled its capacity at the Hadapsar facility, which will now focus on mother and child care. Sahyadri operates eight hospitals across Pune, Nashik, and Karad, offering over 900 beds and 200 ICU beds, served by over 2,000 clinicians and 2,600 supporting staff.
With the increase in bed capacity, Sahyadri Hospitals aims to bridge the healthcare gap and cater to the needs of the community. The hospital chain believes this strategic focus will help them provide access to specialized medical care. The expansion plans would also include several cities in the region and propelling their network forward, said Abrarali Dalal. The hospital chain’s main motto is to provide the best healthcare services to all the residents of Maharashtra with the right medical facilities available at affordable prices.
