In what can only be described as a horrific incident, a monk was found murdered in the Ghatigaon forest of Gwalior district in India. The victim known as Garib Das alias Gopal Das, had his hands and legs tied, mouth gagged and was naked. His body was found behind his ashram with his mobile phone missing, indicating foul play. A cleaning help at the ashram had discovered his body as well as the scattered belongings. Police believe that robbery was not the motive since the monk hardly had any money on him. There were at least two or three assailants involved in the murder, which is currently under investigation.
