Marilyn Manson, the renowned rock musician, has been sentenced to 20 hours of community service and fined by a court after pleading no contest to an incident that occurred at his 2019 concert in New Hampshire. Manson was charged with blowing his nose and spitting on a camerawoman named Susan Fountain. The victim expressed her humiliation and stated that she had never been treated in such a degrading manner before. The judge referred to the incident as egregious. Manson will be allowed to fulfill his community service in California.

Following the news of Manson’s sentencing, netizens have taken to trolling the musician. Some users have made light of his actions by joking that he found an innovative way to spread his artistic essence. However, there are also those who continue to support Manson.

During his court appearance on Monday, Manson was dressed in a black suit. He was fined approximately $1,400, with $200 of that amount being suspended. The victim had pressed charges against Manson in 2021, and as part of a plea agreement, one of the charges related to the spitting incident was dismissed.

The rock musician, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, was also ordered to complete 20 hours of community service. Throughout the court proceedings, Manson only spoke twice, answering Yes when his name was called out by the judge.

Manson pleaded no contest to two counts of a misdemeanor. This plea enabled him to neither contest the charges nor admit guilt. According to a police report, the incident took place on August 19, 2019, at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford. Manson approached the camerawoman and spat on her. He then kneeled in front of her, covered one nostril, and blew mucus through the other onto her arms and hands. The victim had to clean Manson’s bodily fluids off herself in the restroom.

Although the footage of the incident has not been released to the public, fans have reacted to it through memes.

Susan Fountain, the camerawoman, did not appear in court on Monday but sent a statement that was read aloud. She described the incident as the most disgusting thing she had ever experienced and shared her hope that the sentence would make Manson think twice before repeating such behavior in the future.

As part of his sentence, Manson is required to notify authorities in advance if he plans to hold concerts in New Hampshire. He must also complete his community service by February 4, 2024, and provide proof of fulfillment.

In conclusion, Marilyn Manson’s recent sentencing has sparked reaction and controversy. While some netizens are trolling the musician, others still show support. Manson’s community service sentence and fine serve as a reminder of the consequences for degrading actions towards others.
