Rock legend Noel Gallagher has sparked excitement among Oasis fans by teasing a potential reunion of the iconic 90s band. Despite his ongoing feud with his brother Liam, Noel expressed his readiness to get back together with the band during a recent Q&A session.
The Manchester brothers had a public falling out before Oasis disbanded in 2009, and since then, Liam has been persistently urging Noel for a reunion on Twitter. The pressure from fans for the brothers to reconcile and reunite Oasis seems to have finally had an effect on Noel.
During the Q&A session at The Rose Theatre in Kingston, Noel confirmed that he would be open to reuniting with Liam and the rest of the band. When asked about the potential reunion lineup, Noel replied, So me…Liam…Well, it’s a funny thing because we’re all at a certain age now.
Noel went on to joke about the band members’ hairstyles, stating, Hair was a thing in Oasis, so we’ll have to see what everybody’s hair is looking like. I’m in no matter what. This is not f****** going anywhere. I don’t know. Look. Me, Liam and a load of f****** fit birds.
This revelation comes after Noel previously asserted that it was up to Liam to make peace for Oasis to reunite. He criticized his brother on Twitter, calling him a coward and claiming that Liam would never actually initiate the reunion because he was all mouth.
Noel insisted that Liam should be the one to reach out and make the call, adding, He should get some of his people, his agent, to call my people and say, ‘Look, this is what we’re thinking.’ And then we’ll have a conversation about it. Until then, he’s being a little bit disingenuous.
Oasis split in 2009, and the brothers have had a strained relationship ever since. However, Noel’s recent comments and his invitation for Liam to call him have ignited hopes among fans that a reunion might be in the cards.
Liam responded to a fan on Twitter asking if there was a possibility of the group getting back together, simply replying, It’s happening. This statement from Liam has further fueled speculation and excitement among Oasis fans.
Though there is no official confirmation or concrete plans for a reunion yet, the brothers’ willingness to consider the possibility has reignited hopes for Oasis fans worldwide. Only time will tell if we’ll see the iconic rock band back on stage together once again.
