RJD’s ‘Ambedkar Pe Charcha’ Reaches Rural Poor in Bihar, Highlights Threat to Indian Constitution

Bihar’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has launched an interactive program called Ambedkar Pe Charcha to engage with the rural poor and marginalized communities ahead of the parliamentary polls. The program aims to raise awareness about threats to the Indian Constitution under the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. What started as a state-level initiative has now reached the village level, with enthusiastic support from rural youths who are volunteering to hold sessions. The RJD’s program has already covered over 8,000 Panchayats and aims to reach all 50,000 villages in the state. By emphasizing the importance of the Constitution and the legacy of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the RJD hopes to mobilize support from Dalits and EBCs, who play a significant role in the state’s 40 parliamentary seats. However, the BJP has dismissed the RJD’s claims, stating that changing the Constitution is not possible and accusing the RJD of spreading false narratives against them. With the parliamentary polls approaching, the RJD’s program signals its intent to protect democracy and social justice, while the BJP remains committed to its own agenda.
