Retired BSF Personnel Commits Suicide in Ballia, UP
In a tragic incident, a retired Border Security Force (BSF) personnel died by suicide in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The 60-year-old man, identified as Harendra Singh, shot himself with his licensed gun on Thursday morning. The incident took place in the Amhar Dakshin Patti village of the Rasda Kotwali area.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police promptly reached the spot and took possession of the deceased’s body. The body was later sent for post-mortem examination. The licensed gun used in the suicide has also been recovered by the authorities.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Faheem Qureshi, Singh had been living alone since the demise of his wife and only son. The police are currently investigating the matter to ascertain the factors that led to this unfortunate event.
