In an effort to showcase the nation’s sartorial diversity, the Culture Ministry announced on Friday that sarees from various states and Union Territories will be displayed along the Kartavya Path during Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2024. This year’s parade will feature a spectacular exhibit called ‘Anant Sutra,’ paying tribute to the women power of India and the millions of weavers. As preparations for the 75th Republic Day are underway, many individuals are eagerly anticipating the event in person in New Delhi.
The Republic Day parade, commencing at 09:30 AM from Vijay Chowk to the National Stadium, will cover a distance of five kilometers. While some prefer to tune into the parade online or through their TV sets, there are those who flock to India Gate to witness the show live. To attend, tickets are available in two categories: ‘Reserved’ and ‘Unreserved’. The price for ‘Reserved’ tickets, which guarantee a front-row seat, is set at Rs 500. ‘Unreserved’ tickets are further divided into two sub-categories. For the middle row, the price is Rs 100, while back seats cost Rs 20. It is important to note that children under the age of five do not require tickets for entry.
