WASHINGTON–May 1, 2024–

Rebellion Defense has secured a significant U.S. Navy contract to bolster target recognition capabilities. The software company will provide its cutting-edge Iris technology to enhance the Navy’s tracking and identification capabilities in the face of evolving global threats.

The contract, awarded competitively by the U.S. Navy Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems X (PEO IWS X), reflects the Navy’s strategic focus on leveraging advanced technology solutions to maintain superiority in the ever-changing maritime environment.

Rebellion’s successful bid through Tradewinds, a platform streamlining technology procurement for the Department of Defense, highlights the company’s commitment to innovation and supporting national security objectives.

We’re proud to contribute Rebellion Iris software to bolster the Navy’s readiness against current and future challenges, stated Ben FitzGerald, CEO of Rebellion Defense. Winning this contract through CDAO’s Tradewinds platform reinforces our dedication to fostering rapid technological advancements for the DoD.

The Iris software by Rebellion facilitates real-time detection, identification, and predictive capabilities, equipping Navy operators with enhanced decision-making tools to swiftly assess and respond to potential threats efficiently. Notably, the software aligns with the Modular Open Systems Approach, ensuring data ownership for the government while aligning with PEO IWS X’s goal of delivering modular software solutions to enhance combat systems.

This recent partnership solidifies Rebellion’s position as a key technology provider to the U.S. Navy, following a previous contract win in February to support the Navy’s Project Overmatch with bespoke software solutions aimed at enhancing data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Rebellion Defense is at the forefront of developing advanced software solutions to safeguard mission-critical operations, bridging the gap between cutting-edge commercial technologies and national security imperatives.
