Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), which owns the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has announced plans to raise funds by selling 588 plots and 76 houses in Visakhapatnam. The 45 land parcels in Maddilapalem, Gajuwaka, and Pedagantyada are expected to fetch more than Rs 1,000 crore ($135m), with the National Building Construction Corporation said to be among the companies expressing an interest. RINL has also invited tenders for the sale of the forged wheel plant it built in Raebareli, with an anticipated return of Rs 2,000 crore.
