Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 5 (ANI): Actor Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his film ‘Lootera’ by sharing throwback pictures from the movie. The highly nostalgic post featured glimpses of the film, including a picture with director Vikramaditya Motwane and co-star Vikrant Massey. The film, released in 2013, is a period romance set in the 1950s and also stars Sonakshi Sinha.
Ranveer Singh commemorated the special occasion by sharing a video clip and several pictures on his Instagram stories. In the video, he showcased a sneak peek of the movie and captioned it, 10 years to one of my most precious, loved, and cherished! #Lootera. Timeless work of art. He also expressed gratitude to Vikramaditya Motwane, the director of the film, stating, @motwayne.
The actor then shared a picture alongside Vikramaditya Motwane, where both can be seen deep in discussion while sitting on chairs. They appeared to be engrossed in a conversation, possibly discussing the film or its memories. Ranveer’s caption for this image read, Fetus @Vikrantmassey, indicating their camaraderie on the set.
Vikrant Massey, who played a supporting role in ‘Lootera,’ reshared the story on his own Instagram and playfully referred to themselves as Cheeky Blinders in his caption. The bond between the two actors seems to have remained strong even after a decade.
In the last picture shared by Ranveer, he posted the poster of the movie and acknowledged Sonakshi Sinha’s stunning performance, tagging her while asking, Police ko tumne bulaya tha? Sonakshi Sinha essayed the character of Pakhi Roy Chaudhary, the daughter of a wealthy landlord, while Ranveer Singh portrayed Varun Shrivastav, a charming conman with a hidden agenda.
Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, ‘Lootera’ is lauded for its emotional depth and poetic storytelling. The film draws inspiration from O. Henry’s short story, The Last Leaf. While it enjoyed commercial success upon its release, it has acquired a strong following over the years, becoming a beloved film among both audiences and critics.
As for their current projects, Sonakshi Sinha is set to appear in the upcoming action thriller film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh will be seen in the romantic film ‘Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani,’ opposite Alia Bhatt.
