Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 15 – Actors Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon recently stole the spotlight as they graced a fashion show curated by designer Manish Malhotra. The event, themed ‘Banarasi Saree- A tapestry of Indian culture and Craftsmen,’ witnessed the duo turning heads as they walked the ramp as the showstoppers. Ranveer looked dapper in a sherwani, while Kriti exuded elegance in a red lehenga reminiscent of bridal attire. Prior to the show, the trio visited the iconic Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi to offer prayers. Ranveer and Kriti, along with Manish Malhotra, also explored the Dashashwamedh Ghat in traditional attire, soaking in the city’s rich heritage and spirituality. The extravagant fashion show, celebrating Kashi’s ancient culture, spirituality, and crafts, aimed to showcase the historical heritage of Varanasi, blending modern fashion with tradition. The event, organized by the Indian Minorities Foundation, aimed to promote the handicrafts and handlooms of Varanasi and was hosted at the Namo Ghat. Ranveer Singh is set to reprise his role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again,’ alongside a stellar cast, while Kriti Sanon is enjoying the success of her recent film ‘Crew,’ a laugh-riot featuring industry stalwarts. Their visit to Varanasi encapsulated a harmonious blend of fashion and tradition, paying homage to the city’s rich cultural tapestry.
