Just a few days before this incident, communal clashes erupted in Bhilwara when a Class 8 girl accused two minority community students of mixing human urine in her water bottle. The school’s vice principal faced consequences for failing to report the incident to senior authorities.
This is not the first time Bhilwara has witnessed such incidents. In the past year, there have been cases of murder, causing unrest among the local residents who demanded swift action from the authorities. Additionally, Bhadel accused the Bhilwara police of prioritizing the demands of local Congress leaders over maintaining law and order in the district.
Despite the small size of the village, with only about 50 families, the police seemed unaware of the girl’s disappearance, further highlighting the operational issues within the district. Bhadel expressed her frustration when attempting to contact the district Superintendent of Police (SP), as she received no response.
The current situation in Bhilwara raises concerns about the law and order situation and the functioning of the police force. The lack of prompt action and an apparent focus on political considerations instead of public safety are alarming.
