The government of Rajasthan has announced a 50% concession in fares for women passengers on all classes of Rajasthan roadways buses. Previously, the concession was only available for ordinary (blue line) buses. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved the proposal to extend the concession to all classes of buses within the state limits. This move comes after Gehlot announced in the 2023-24 budget that the concession in fares for women passengers in ordinary roadways buses would be increased from 30% to 50%, which was implemented from April 1. The announcement was made during the inauguration of the bus terminal at Sindhi Camp in Jaipur on May 25. This move will be welcomed by women commuters who will benefit from lower fares.
